Ego is an early, invitation-limited alpha of a texting companion. It will have rough edges, it will sometimes be wrong, and it may change or stop at any time. By signing up you accept that.
You must be 18 or older, the owner of the mobile number you give us, and in the United States. You agree to receive texts from Ego at that number, including messages Ego sends first, until you text STOP. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply.
The $20 deposit is charged once through Stripe when you sign up. It is refundable in full at any time during the alpha: text Ego "refund my deposit" and it goes back to your card within ten business days. If the alpha ends, unrefunded deposits are returned automatically. The deposit is not a purchase of the future product and carries no promise of continued access or pricing.
During the alpha Ego reaches you through Google's RCS Business Messaging test-device program, which means you accept a "tester" invite in your messages app. Google may end or change that program; if Ego can no longer reach you, we refund your deposit.
Ego is not a medical, legal, financial or crisis service and gives no professional advice. If you are in danger, contact local emergency services. Ego cannot take actions in the world for you and you should not rely on it for anything time-critical.
Do not use Ego to harass anyone, to send unlawful content, to attempt to extract its instructions or other people's data, or to overload the service. We may end access for abuse, without refund in cases of clear abuse.
What you tell Ego stays yours. We use it only to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy. You can delete everything at any time by texting DELETE MY DATA.
Ego is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, Quant Holdings, LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount of your deposit.
